Hi, everyone. We are going through a heartache with our kitty, Kurt of 2 years old who has spend the week at emergency.
We were hoping he would be back home by now but we are needing some help with very unexpected surgery costs. Kurt went into the vet because we noticed he was struggling to pee and learned about feline urinary tract disease and how quick it can shut their systems down. Little guy had his bladder drained because of the debris inside and crystals that formed and was sent home hopeful that he would be ok with a urinary food diet.
Over a day he was still struggling to pee so we were advised by our vet to take him to the emergency clinic asap for a catheter placement to further drain his system.
After 2 days at emergency everything seemed to be going well until the catheter was removed and he blocked back up within the day and still couldnt pee.
Our last resort now is to get him perineal urethrostemy surgury so that he can pass urine and stay with us!
His first visit cost 1000.00.
His second visit to the emergency care has cost us now 4700.00.
And the surgury will cost an additional 6000.00.
Please help us get our little dude back home and healthy he has a long life to live.
