Help Save Wilder's Life – Emergency Surgery Needed
Hi friends, family, and animal lovers —
We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your help.
This GoFundMe is for the Kelley Family and their sweet dog Wilder, lovingly known as "Wild." What started as a routine neuter procedure has turned into a life-threatening emergency.
What Happened to Wild?
After what seemed to be a successful surgery, Wild came home alert and prancing — his usual spirited self. But within an hour, everything changed. When the family checked on him, he was unresponsive, pale, cold, and limp. In a terrifying rush, they got him to the ER where it was discovered he was bleeding internally.
The likely cause? A complication from surgery — a ligature on his spermatic cord may have failed, leading to dangerous internal bleeding. The initial ER was not equipped to perform the emergency surgery he desperately needed, so Wild had to be rushed to another facility 48 minutes away, kept alive with IV fluids, thick blankets, and constant love.
He Needs Emergency Abdominal Surgery & Blood Transfusions
Wild is now in critical condition. The vet is asking for a $12,000 deposit to begin the life-saving surgery and provide ongoing intensive care, including abdominal surgery, blood transfusions, and 24-hour monitoring.
About Wild
Wild is more than just a pet — he is part of the Kelley Family’s heart. He is goofy, full of life, and endlessly loyal. He's the kind of dog who prances with excitement and loves his people fiercely. His family is doing everything they can to save him, but they can’t do it alone.
❤️ How You Can Help
Please consider donating whatever you can — no amount is too small. Every dollar brings Wild one step closer to coming home. And if you can’t donate, sharing this campaign and keeping Wild in your thoughts and prayers means the world.
This is a family who would never ask unless it was truly life or death — and right now, it is.
Thank you for showing up for Wild and the Kelleys. Let’s help bring their boy home.
With gratitude,
Angie and Tabitha
UPDATE ON WILDER:
Thank you to everyone for the messages and for reaching out. I cannot respond to all of you because we are in an emergency situation and I just can’t. I’m sorry.
Wilder was neutered today. Dr reported all went well. He was alert and prancing around when I picked him up. I his suitical on him and we left. He sat up the entire drive home (40 minute drive) and just whined… but that’s typical Wild!
I got him out of the van, offered him the opportunity to potty on the lawn and then brought him in the house and took him straight to his cozy kennel with warm blankets.
I then went to start making dinner. After maybe 45 mins, I went in to check on him and we was basically unresponsive and looked glazed over. At one moment I even thought he was dead and screamed for Wes. We got him out of his kennel and it was like he couldn’t walk. I assumed he may still be a bit drugged possibly? So we took him outside to see if the fresh air would wake him up a bit. He stumbled as he walked, took a poop and when he came in the house he barely stepped in when he immediately layed down on the floor. I called the ER and they told me to bring him in. His gums and lips were a pale white/yellow, he was cold and he was completely limp. I had him wrapped in thick blankets and was putting his whole muzzle in my mouth and blowing air into his nose. We got him to the ER and they took him back. They performed and ultrasound and said there was blood in his abdomen. “They think a ligature on the spermatic chord opened up” and he was bleeding internally. They told us this is serious and unfortunately that ER didn’t have the staff to support him or open him up if necessary so we had to be transferred to an ER 48 mins away.
I rode the whole way with him in the trunk of the SUV and kept him warm in three thick blankets and the heat on 90 degrees. We also kept him on IV fluids the whole way. I sang him songs the entire drive (as tone deaf as I am) and his lips pinked up and he actually sat up on his own when we pulled in to then He was also just able to walk to the back with them when we got here. That’s all I know. Please keep praying and sending all the positive vibes.
