*UPDATE*
We reached enough funds for Frisky to be able to undergo surgery yesterday, 5/9. After a day of recovery, Frisky seems to be doing well and is being kept overnight at the hospital for the next 2-4 days. We appreciate all of the extremely generous donations we have received in the last few days, Frisky wouldn’t be here without the help from everyone who has donated. The new main picture is him currently in recovery. Thank you everyone for your kindness, generosity, and prayers that Frisky and his family have been given these last two very difficult days.
My name is Martin, and I’m raising money for the foreign object emergency surgery for a dear family friend in need. Their beloved dog, Frisky, is a 9 year old Jack Russell who was a bright and friendly dog until 2 days ago, when he started to vomit excessively. After an x-ray at an emergency clinic, what we think was found that a squeaker he ingested 2 years ago had just now caused a blockage. Frisky’s family is trying their best to keep him comfortable with fluids, but they were quoted a very large amount for surgery, at a minimum $5,000 without recovery care and complications. His owners work very long hours in labor intensive jobs, but still it is difficult in NJ to afford an emergency like this. Frisky is loved by family, neighbors, friends, and the community, and his recovery would put a lot of people at peace. Any help is much appreciated, and would help immensely in saving our friend, and in reality, family member.
