Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
Just six months ago, I was planning my wedding and chasing my dream as an author. Today, my life has been turned upside down by a brutal reality I never expected: a battle with severe, life-threatening endometriosis.
I currently have a 10 cm cyst on my left ovary, pressing against my fallopian tube and causing relentless bleeding and excruciating pain. And that’s only one of over twenty cysts ravaging my body. Endometriosis hasn’t stopped at my reproductive system—it has spread to my bowels, bladder, stomach lining, and lower intestine. These cysts are ripping apart my organs from the inside, leaving me in constant pain and at risk of rupture, internal bleeding, sepsis, and complications that could be fatal.
This disease has already stolen so much from me. It has robbed me of the dream of becoming a mother naturally, and unless surgery can repair the damage, my partner and I will face the costly and uncertain path of IVF. It has drained my energy to the point that working is nearly impossible, forcing me to choose between suffering silently or begging for help.
Yet my insurance company has deemed my case “non-emergent” and refuses to cover the cost of surgery until I am literally in crisis. I cannot afford to wait until disaster strikes.
The laparoscopic surgery I need is estimated at $4,500–$12,000, not including up to 12 weeks of unpaid recovery. My goal is to raise $5,000 to cover the immediate costs so I can finally get the care that will save my health—and potentially my life.
I know times are hard for everyone, but I am asking you from the bottom of my heart: please consider helping me. Whether it’s $1, $5, or simply sharing this campaign with others, your support brings me one step closer to relief, healing, and the chance to live the future I’ve been fighting for.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Your compassion means more than I can ever put into words.
With gratitude,
Ariel
