NOTE: We have raised enough for surgery!! Donations are being left open for now to deal with the cost of Danes follow up post surgery visit and his medications!

Dane is a 1 year and 2 month old cat who I adopted in August of 2025. He's a very sweet and silly baby, often tussling with his older brother, playing fetch, or sprinting around my bedroom. Starting on May 7th of this year, Dane started experiencing urinary issues. At first, he was straining to urinate, but this progressed to an aggressive UTI and then a full urinary blockage last week on May 29th. Blockages are extremely dangerous as they can cause kidney infections and death if untreated. We brought him to the Quakertown 24 hr ER to get him help as soon as possible.

Dane spent 2 days in the hospital having his obstruction removed and recovering, being given IV fluids and having a catheter sewn in to flush out the blockage. He was on heavy medication for the past week to help with his pain and this Thursday 06/04, showing signs of straining to urinate again and pain. This Friday we rushed him back to the ER after seeing signs of serious pain and crying while urinating.

Upon this trip we were told he is not blocked yet but that he would be soon, his bladder was the size of an apple and he was halfway blocked. The only fix for this issue to ensure he has a quality of life would be an amputation of his male parts unfortunately. The doctor informed us that with this surgery, also known as a P.U surgery, he would most likely never block again and never be at risk of death or kidney infection for these issues.

The emergency surgery would cost anywhere from $5,000-$7,000 and I'm trying to raise any kind of funds before he gets worse so we can get him taken care of. I have funds left on a credit card and a few hundred in my bank I am hoping to use in addition to get him the surgery he needs. We do not know how much time we have before he blocks again, the vet stated it may be 24 hours, so we are hoping to gain assistance as soon as possible.
