Hi my name is Skylar and I work full time to support myself and my cats (Crunchwrap and Juniper) but last year, one of my cats (Crunchwrap) had a sudden obstruction that required an operation. I’ve mostly recovered financially, but near the anniversary of that scare he decided to partake in his favorite vice— string. He looooooves strings but this time he wasnt so lucky and one end was caught on his tongue while the rest was swallowed. This caused him to need an emergency surgery before the string cut through his intestines from the tension. I work as much as I can, but the cost of this surgery ($6,700 on the low end and $9,000 on the higher end. hoping to get the final estimated cost after he is released from the vet) has been completely unexpected. My friend said I should ask for help from those around me and I hate to, but my cat seems to have a thing for yearly ER visits. Anyway, thank you for reading if you made it this far.
