My name is Alyssa and starting a GoFundMe for myself is probably one of the most difficult things I'll get myself to do, but I really need it. My dog Benny ate a foreign object which is now lodged in his intestines. I was at work when this occurred, and I came home to vomit all over my home, which didn't stop until later the following day when he stopped eating. He wasn't able to keep any fluids or liquids down. He was taken to a 24/hr emergency vet in Allentown, and they advised me he will die within the next 24-36 hours if the item is not either naturally passed or surgically removed. I was told the chances of the object being passed naturally are very unlikely. We are now almost another 24 hours in since he was brought to the vet, and he hasn't passed the object yet. He won't eat. He is keeping down fluids ever since the vet administered an anti-nausea injection and fluids to rehydrate him a bit. I don't know how long that will last. Last night's bill was just under $800. The surgery is quoted at $4k-$6k. I am a newly single mother and a new small business owner, and I don't even have those funds in my account to get Benny this surgery if I needed to. I am desperate for anyone who is possibly able to contribute to his surgery and medical bills. I know this is asking so much at all, let alone this time of year, but I've had Benny for 10 years and he is 11. I don't want him to be in pain. My heart is in so much pain... I am devastated over this and truly just want him to be okay. Anything that could be contributed would be appreciated more than I could ever express.
