Hi, my name is Ashley, and I’m reaching out with a very heavy heart. This week has been one of the hardest of my life. My sweet dog, Bellatrix, who has always been my loyal companion and best friend, suddenly became very sick. She was weak, not eating, and just not herself. After rushing her to the vet, I was given heartbreaking news: Bellatrix has pyrometra, a life-threatening infection of the uterus that can only be treated with emergency surgery.

Without this surgery, she won’t survive. The infection spreads quickly and can cause her organs to shut down. The vet explained that time is critical — she needs help right away.

The cost of the surgery and aftercare is more than I can afford on my own, but I refuse to give up on her. Bellatrix has been by my side through my hardest days .She is family, and I can’t imagine losing her to something that can be treated if we act fast.
