Emergency Surgery for Libby Family Pet
Donation protected
Everyone who knows us knows we are a pet family. My husband (Chris) and I (Zaida) work a lot and are being dealt with life's cards being thrown at us. Had a rough few days trying to bottle feed 3 pups, while mom was fighting for her life. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated!!
Hi everyone, hope you and yours are doing well. We're reaching out to ask for support for this GoFundMe. This cause is important, and whether you can donate or simply share the fundraiser, every little bit helps and is greatly appreciated.

Our 6 yo German Shepherd is undergoing emergency surgery as this is being written, and we don't know if she'll live or not. She went into labor yesterday and had a hard labor. She gave birth to 3 pups, and then the 4th one was breech/stillborn. She was in labor for over 6 hours, the stillborn being born at 1:30 yesterday morning. She was acting ok after the births, but yesterday she was kinda "off". Chris figured it was because of the labor. Today, she had not improved. She threw up everything we had fed her, walking around like a zombie. Black watery stool, but she was drinking a lot. We finally got her to a vet this morning (6/19/2025). Chris had to lift her into the car and out once we got there. When we got her to the vet, she gave birth to another stillborn, 36 hours after the firstborn. The vet said she was septic and needed emergency surgery. It is going to cost a lot. Low end around $8500 and near 10.000. We will put the paperwork up here.
We have never asked for a handout in our lives, but we don't want our baby girl to die.
UPDATE: We had to put everything on our credit cards, and pretty much maxed them. She is home but not out of the woods yet. She's so drugged up, all she does is sleep. We have gotten her to eat a little (boiled chicken and rice). We will keep updating as we can. My wife and I are taking care of the three pups, who are doing well as of this writing.
PHOTOS:
The pup that has the torn-up mouth was injured when momma tried to pull him out. He is doing very well. His name is Chip, and probably staying with us.
Pup on the blue towel, that is Poppy, she's a healthy girl.
Last pic is of Squeaky, she was the smallest, but has the biggest set of lungs.
