Emergency surgery assistance

I was riding my OneWheel in the bike lane in uptown Charlotte, NC when a pedestrian J walked out infront of me I swerved hit a pothole and hit the road really hard fracturing my Tibia and Fibula.
When i got up the guy was gone and I got myself out of the road.
I ended up having to have emergency surgery and have pins put in to fix the displacement of the fracture.
I am lucky I wasnt injured worse, I was heading for the curb when falling and redirected myself with my ankle so I wouldn't hit my head or neck.
I fell at about 18mph with traffic beside me.

I am a contractor and I dont have any benefits with my company and since I cannot work I have no income until I am able to walk unassisted again.
I was made to belive I could work remotely while healing, as I am a software developer but my manager decided now was a good time for me to not make money.

I am in search of employment that has some stability but I will have Bill's coming in that I cannot pay right now or for the foreseeable future. 

Any help is greatly appreciated by my wife, myself and our 3 rescue pups and 2 cats.
