Anyone who knows Joy and Sierra knows that Sierra’s dream dog for her entire life has been a corgi. And in February, they drove to Wisconsin and fulfilled that dream with their Corgi puppy, Lonnie. Not only has it been a lifelong dream, but both of their love for animals runs deep, supported by their several other pets they deeply care for.

Sadly, last night, Lonnie was hit by a car. His pelvis was crushed and both legs broken. Luckily, there are no signs of internal bleeding or spinal damage, which gives the outcome of surgery more hopeful.

That being said, the cost to save his life is something they could’ve never prepared for. The estimated cost after multiple surgeries is around $25,000. But again, if you know Joy and Sierra, you know that Lonnie is family to them and they will do whatever to save him.
