Help Palestinian victims of settler violence in Ras al-Ujah

On March 8, 2025 approximately 1000 sheep, worth well over $500,000, were stolen from their Palestinian owners in the village of Ras al-Ain Ujah in the Jericho Valley. The theft was carried out over the course of several hours by dozens of violent settlers, some of whom carried weapons. Activists from Looking the Occupation in the Eyes recorded and witnessed the theft, and called the Israeli army and police, who did nothing to stop the theft.
The planned theft is part of a strategy of terrorism with the end goal of ethnically cleansing the pastoral Bedouin Palestinian communities who live in Area C of the West Bank
The settlers invaded in an operation coordinated between the heads of the outposts surrounding the villages of Ras al-Ain Aujaand Ma`arajat and apparently also with knowledge of the police and the army. One local resident, the owner of one of the herds, after being beaten by the invaders with clubs was arrested by the police, on the accusation of stealing the sheep that belonged to him. In addition, another Palestinian was wounded in the hand by shrapnel
Several dozen goats were also murdered.
As a result of this shockingly blatant theft there are now several Bedouin Palestinian families from the village of Ras al-Ain Ujah who have lost all of their livelihoods, and are unable to support themselves. Therefore, we humbly ask you, with a great degree of urgency, to support these families. The money will be used to support the families in securing basic essentials such as food, and, hopefully, to eventually buy sheep to replace the ones that were stolen.
This fundraiser is being coordinated by activists from Torat Tzedek and , through the New Israel Fund (a progressive anti-occupation NGO), at the request of the Palestinian families who have been affected. 100% of the money will go to the families affected.

תרומת פיצויים לבדואים בכפר ראס עין אל-עוג'ה על שוד כבשים על ידי מתנחלים קיצוניים בגיבוי הרשויות
ב8 למרץ, במתקפה מאורגנת בהשתתפות עשרות מתנחלים קיצוניים שחלקם חמושים, נשדדו למעלה מאלף ראשי צאן מהכפר הבדואי ראס עין אל-עוג'א בדרום בקעת הירדן. הכפר יושב על אדמות בבעלות פרטית פלסטינית אך סובל מהתנכלויות המאחזים הסמוכים, שאירוע השוד היה אחד משיאיהן. השוד נועד לשבור את מטה לחמם של תושבי הכפר על מנת לאלצם לעוזבו. אחד מבעלי הצאן הוכה באלות ולאחר מכן נעצר, אדם אחר שניסה למנוע את השוד נפגע מרסיס ירי חי.
השוד תועד על ידי פעילי זכויות אדם שהזעיקו את הרשויות, אלה נכחו במקום אך לא מנעו את השוד. השודדים נסמכו על טענה לא מוכחת של גניבת כמה עשרות כבשים בבעלותם, הטענה לא נבדקה ונשדד מספר כבשים העולה 20-30 מונים על מספר הכבשים שנטען שנגנבו.
ב21 במרץ תועדו על ידי פעילי זכויות אדם ועיתונאים חלק מהכבשים השדודות מעורבות בתוך עדר של מאחז בלתי חוקי באזור, הכבשים זוהו על פי סימנים שניתנו מראש על ידי בעליהן.
חובתנו כבני אדם, כיהודים וכישראלים לפצות את הבדואים על הפשעים שנעשו כנגדם בשמנו, בעזרת נשק צה"לי ותוך חסינות מוחלטת בפועל מהעמדה לדין. נשדדו למעלה מאלף כבשים ושווי כבשה מוערך בכ2,000 שקל, על כן ערך הרכוש הגזול עולה על 1,500,000 שקלים. כל הכספים ישמשו בשלב ראשון לרכישת מספוא להאכלת הכבשים הנותרות, ובשלב שני לרכישת כבשים חדשות כמקור פרנסה לתושבים.
