The Kelly Louise Muscat Emergency Fund for SEND Families
“In memory of Kelly Louise Muscat RIP you amazing girl — and in support of those the system is still failing.”
Kelly was not “naughty”.
She was traumatised, neurodivergent, and misunderstood.
As a child, she was pushed through extreme school interventions for EBSA.
But her ADHD, bipolar disorder, and BPD were all missed.
The system failed her.
She was only properly diagnosed as an adult — after I fought for answers.
By then, it was too late.
Kelly never learned how to cope because she wasn’t supported when it mattered most.
When her mental health and neurodivergence collided with menopause, she lost her battle with life.
Kelly died by suicide at 49.
I begged for help.
I warned them.
I told all the authorities it would happen DWP, NHS, CMHT
They didn’t listen.
This fund exists so other families don’t go through the same agony that we Kelly's family and friends did.
We provide immediate, practical support to vulnerable and SEND families in crisis — when the system has failed and there is nowhere else to turn.
Kelly believed in fairness, justice, and helping those who cannot advocate for themselves.
This is her legacy.
First goal: £500 to support families right now.
If you can give £10–£20, it will make a real difference.
If not, please share.
