Hi, my name is Kashieka Grade, and I’m fundraising for my family in the Philippines specifically my grandpa and his family who are going through a heartbreaking and overwhelming time. I currently live in the US right now but my family is still in the philippines with all the struggles they have to deal with. My grandpa recently passed away on November 15, 2025 at 1 PM from a blood clot in his brain. For the past three years, he suffered without the surgery he needed because we couldn’t afford it. During that time he had constant seizures, became fully paralyzed, and could no longer speak, eat, or move. The only way he communicated with us was by tapping his feet to let us know he could still hear us. Watching him fight for his life every day, trapped in his own body, was one of the hardest things my family has ever gone through.
When he passed away, his body had to remain inside the house for hours because my family was trying to figure out the money for his burial we knew we can’t afford. My dad has always been their biggest provider, he once worked 5-6 jobs including side jobs at a time to take care of them. But in the Philippines, with the corruption and economic inequality, even working nonstop sometimes isn’t enough to survive. As if losing my grandpa wasn’t enough, my family was hit by a typhoon just last week. They lost almost everything. power, resources, food, clothing, and parts of their home. They are trying to recover from grief and disaster at the same time, and it has become too much for them to handle alone. That’s why I’m here, asking for help from the bottom of my heart. We are $600 short of what my family needs for my grandpa’s burial and basic necessities. I am doing everything I can and will cover the rest, but I can’t reach this final amount by myself. Any amount you can donate no matter how small—would mean more than words can ever express. Your kindness will directly help my family lay my grandpa to rest and rebuild after the typhoon. PLEASE. Thank you so much for reading, for sharing, and for supporting us during this difficult time. ❤️
