On Friday, September 5th, Jim collapsed suddenly due to cardiac arrest. A bystander witnessed his collapse and performed CPR, and used a defibrillator, he was then rushed to the ICU. Doctors confirmed he experienced ventricular fibrillation (v-fib), a life-threatening heart rhythm. He remains in intensive care, intubated and on a ventilator, while tests and treatment continue.

As Jim continues his fight, his wife, Karen, is devoted to being by his side. To ease her worries at home, close family is stepping in to make sure bills, meals, and daily needs are cared for. We are uncertain of any timeline regarding improvements and we know this will be a long process before the possibility of returning to day to day life.
