️ From London to Jamaica: Standing Together
This is my home.
I’ve lived in Catherine Hall, Montego Bay all my life. It breaks my heart to see it ravaged like this.
As a little girl, I always feared the sea and river might one day flood our home—we’re less than five minutes’ walk from both. That fear has now become reality.
If you’ve ever been to Reggae Sumfest, then you’ve stood in Catherine Hall.
This is not just a place—it’s a community, a heartbeat, a home.
I’m doing all I can, but I know I can’t do it alone.
And while I carry pride in my spirit, this isn’t about me—it’s about us.
My home became a rescue shelter for several families. Even in my absence, I thank God they found safety.
Each one held one. That’s how we survive.
Recovery will be long, but as my dad Delroy Harvey always said:
“We start at the beginning.”
If you can’t contribute physically or financially, please send a prayer
God bless you. Treasure every moment with your loved ones—tomorrow is promised to no one.
Love you all❤️

I’m originally from Jamaica and now run a food business [ Jamaican Tuck Shop - West Ealing] in West London. Hurricane Melissa has deeply affected my loved ones—friends, family, and relatives back home. I’ve launched a GoFundMe to raise £2,500 to support those impacted. Every donation will go directly toward emergency aid, food, shelter, and recovery efforts.
Please help me bring hope and relief to those in need.
