Emergency help needed after fire
Humble (they/them/xe/he) is a beloved Black, trans, disabled community member living in San Francisco.
A few days ago, a fire broke out in his apartment building and is now deemed uninhabitable.
While Humble was thankfully unharmed, they've lost their housing and were immediately forced to vacate out of their home, leaving behind all of his belongings with only a few clothes to pack.
Funds are needed for:
- Immediate short-term housing in SF
- Move-in costs (deposit, first month's rent) for longer-term housing
- Replacements of belongings
- Other expenses while navigating this traumatic experience
Humble only recently made it out of the homeless shelter system and has limited resources for this sudden emergency. While they have been getting all support possible from organizations like the Red Cross, what these organizations can offer is limited. Community support is needed to keep Humble from ending up homeless again.
Humble is a kind and caring soul who is beloved by those who know them. Any amount you can send helps, and so does sharing the fundraiser with friends and family to ask for further support.
This GoFundMe was set up at Humble's request by their partner's trusted friend, Rose, while Humble deals with the aftermath of the fire. All funds will be immediately forwarded to Humble. Direct venmo contributions can also be sent to @humblefrancois and any questions can be sent via the "contact" button below. Thank you so much for your support ❤️
