My name is Marta, and I am Deborah's next-door neighbour.

At approximately 10:35pm on 10/06/2026, a devastating fire broke out at Deborah's home. Within minutes, the house was engulfed in flames. It lit up the night sky like a match, and within around five minutes the fire had spread throughout the property, causing catastrophic damage and destroying her home.

Thankfully, Deborah was rescued and got out safely thanks to the bravery and quick thinking of a gentlemans who helped her escape and alerted nearby neighbours. We are all incredibly grateful for their actions.

As Deborah's neighbour, seeing the devastation firsthand has been heartbreaking. She has lost her home, many personal belongings, treasured possessions, clothing, household items, and the security of having a place she could call home.

Deborah is now facing the difficult task of rebuilding her life from scratch. This fundraiser has been created to help provide emergency support and assist with essential items, temporary accommodation, clothing, toiletries, household necessities, and other costs she may face during her recovery.
