Emergency Support for Chasity Lester & Family
Donation protected
Hi everyone- I come here asking to please, please help support Chasity and her family. Chasity Lester is an employee of mine for 4 years and a dear friend to me. I love her, her husband and 2 year old daughter like family. If you have ever been in the store, you know Chasity. She is kind and loving to everyone that comes into my business.
UPDATE 3:
Chasity is awake!!!! She has responded well to all treatments. She has been moved from ICU to a lower level. She has a long road of recovery and PT - but she is starting to heal. Thank all of you for your donations to help her and her family. She has a long road of recovery ahead. I'm so incredibly grateful for you all.
UPDATE 2:
Chasity had surgery yesterday to remove the life support machine. Her doctors said she responded well. She is still completely sedated. In the next couple of days they will be weaning her off all other meds and removing breathing tube. She is still completely unconscious and sedated. But her numbers looks great and she is stable
UPDATE:
Chasity was airlifted to UNC. Her heart stopped 3 different times. She has undergone multiple surgeries- one for a machine that will pump her blood for her so her heart can rest. Another to remove large blood clots from her heart and lungs. They are keeping her sedated for a few days to allow recovery. Possibly Monday they will start taking off the sedation to start testing her brain function. Currently she is stable.
---
This morning I received a devastating call from Chasity's husband that she is in the hospital ICU - she has a blood clot that traveled to her heart. She is currently unresponsive. My heart is breaking for her and her family. This just happened, but I am trying to help support my best friend and her family to the best of my ability and be as proactive as possible - this is the very beginning of an incredibly difficult journey for them. We are waiting for testing results to see the severity of her current condition and to get an idea of what the outcomes are.
Please consider donating to help support Chasity and her family. Every dollar helps.
Her husband provides the primary income - he is not leaving his wife's side during this time.
They have a 2 year old daughter to take care of. Chasity stays home with her most days. With Josh not working, they are desperately in need of help from our community to pay their home bills and rent, help watching their daughter, food, and various medical expenses.
I will be updating this as I find out more information about her current status.
Every dollar will go to the Lester's bank account so it can be used to support this beautiful, small family.
If you aren't able to donate at this time, please share this with others in our community. Thank you all so much.
