Our hearts are heavy as we share that our dear friend Brandon is currently in critical condition in the ICU. What started as what seemed like a routine case of pneumonia suddenly and devastatingly turned into sepsis and septic shock. Everything happened so quickly and without warning. Brandon is now on multiple life-saving devices, fighting for his life. Doctors have made it clear that his condition remains critical and that we do not yet know what the road to recovery will look like. Because his condition required specialized equipment, he had to be transferred to a hospital two hours away — the only facility that had the technology needed to keep him alive. This crisis came at the worst possible time. Brandon was in the middle of moving his mom into her new home and moving himself when he became critically ill. Not only has his life been completely turned upside down, but so has his mom’s. Brandon has been a major source of financial and emotional support for her, and now both of them are facing enormous uncertainty. While Brandon fights to survive and recover, there are growing expenses piling up — medical bills, lost income, housing transitions, and daily living costs. We are also hoping to raise enough to help his mom with hotel stays, transportation, and meals so she can be by his side as much as possible during this incredibly difficult time.
