Emergency Support for Baby Julian’s Recovery
On April 20th, Julian was rushed to the ER struggling to breathe, with physical signs of difficulty breathing…severe retractions. This was the beginning of long, scary days ahead.
Julian is normally the happiest little boy you’ll ever meet. He’s always smiling, playful and so full of life. Just the day before being hospitalized, he was playing at the beach with his sister as normal. Then the next morning…no smiles and everything changed!
Julian seemed to be struggling to breathe and his condition declined fast. What was thought to be congestion or cold symptoms was in fact much more serious. Julian was diagnosed with pneumonia and had to be sedated with a paralytic and intubated…totally immobile and dependent on the ventilator to breathe.
From April 20th through this morning, April 25th, Julian remained on a ventilator as his little body fought hard to recover.
For our family, the past few days have been incredibly scary, with a lot of ups and downs as Julian continues to fight to return to the bouncing baby with the big beautiful smile that he usually wears on his face.
We are grateful that Julian is breathing on his own again. This is a huge step forward; yet, Baby Julian still has a long road of recovery ahead and will need continued care and monitoring.
Right now, his parents are focused on being by Julian’s side every moment, caring for his critical needs while balancing parenting his toddler sister, from a hospital room. Being at the hospital and focusing on Julian’s recovery means time away from work and stepping away from normal duties and routines.
Donations will go toward supporting the family during this time with: Lost wages
• Hospital meals
• Daily necessities
• Household bills
• Childcare support for their toddler at home
• Ongoing needs during Julian’s recovery
We are asking for support to help relieve the financial burden so Julian’s parents can focus fully on Julian’s healing without the added stress of worrying about financial stressors.
If you feel led to give, any amount is deeply appreciated. If you cannot donate, please share this fundraiser and keep Baby Julian and our family lifted in prayer.
Thank you for your love, prayers, and support.
With gratitude
Baby Julian’s Family
