I am the CEO of Seham and Najma, a registered charity SC054431 dedicated to supporting asylum seekers and refugees who are among the most vulnerable in our communities. Many of the people we support are living in hotel accommodation or temporary housing without access to a kitchen, while others are on no financial support or forced to survive on just £8.86 per week.
These conditions make it extremely difficult to meet even the most basic needs, including food, dignity, and wellbeing. Our charity works directly with individuals and families to provide essential support, emergency assistance, and practical help to improve their daily lives.
At present, our funding is very limited, which restricts the number of people we are able to support. With additional donations, we can reach more asylum seekers and refugees who are struggling to survive under these harsh conditions.
