Rebellious Dreamers sponsors the Women Rising Legacy Project, a rural, women-governed community farming project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The small 2-hectare farm currently serves 3 desperately poor villages with 1,000 residents in total with life-giving fresh food grown by 50 women farmers. The essentially unregulated mineral mining companies in the area have just informed the community that the river serving the villages and farm is polluted with toxic waste and issued a DO NOT USE warning. In order to save the villagers and the farm, especially the highly vulnerable children, we need to hire out the installation of 2 deep wells, holding tanks, pumps, and solar panels to operate the pumps. Prices are unusually high in our closest city, Lubumbashi, because of the mining industry's presence. We are grateful for every penny - Thank you for helping!!
