Hello everyone,

On April 1, 2026, at approximately 5:00PM, I was involved in a serious accident on a mountain road in Costa Rica.

While driving downhill, my vehicle suddenly lost traction on red earth residue that rendered the road into what was similar to black ice. I slid off the asphalt, and into the rainforest. There was no time to break or steer, just hope for the best.

My truck broke several trees, and landed on the driver's side with a shatter of broken glass. A tree trunk stopped the fall, and prevented my vehicle from a creek.

It was later understood that this red earth/wet clay had been brought onto the roadway as a result of nearby roadwork, creating extremely hazardous conditions.

This accident has left me needing extensive vehicle repair, and recovery support—a delayed trauma response—and I am currently not in a position to manage these expenses on my own.

Regarding the road conditions that contributed to the accident, I am in the process of pursuing the appropriate channels, but in the meantime, I would greatly appreciate immediate support for:

• Spinal + neurological evaluation and treatment

• Trauma recovery and basic living expenses

• Transportation and ongoing care

• Road safety inspection, and truck repair

Surviving this crash is a miracle. I am in shock, and very grateful. However, my current symptoms are concerning. If you’re able to help in any way, it would be greatly appreciated.
