Support for My Twin Brother Joe After a Serious Motorcycle Accident
Hi, my name is Amanda, and I’m Joe’s sister. I’m writing this with a heavy but hopeful heart to ask for support for someone I love deeply.
On Sunday, June 8th, 2025, Joe was in a devastating motorcycle accident. He sustained multiple serious injuries, including a broken back, neck, and collarbone. His clavicle suffered an open fracture at the midshaft, along with fractures to the superior articulating transverse processes in C7, the spinous processes in T3 and T4, and compression fractures from T6 to T9.
Joe is incredibly lucky to be alive—and I’m endlessly grateful for that—but his road to recovery will be long and painful. He’s expected to be out of work for 9 to 12 weeks as he heals and undergoes rehabilitation.
Joe is the sole operator of Deschutes Custom Wood Floors, a small business he built with hard work and pride. With no income during this time, he’s now facing the overwhelming cost of hospital bills, doctor visits, physical therapy, and everyday living expenses.
I recently moved home to be closer to family, and I’ll be by his side every step of the way—but we can’t do it alone. Your support would mean the world to our family. Every donation, share, and kind word helps lift some of the weight off Joe’s shoulders so he can focus on what matters most: healing. Your generosity will go directly toward covering his rehabilitation, hospital, medical bills, and essential living costs during this recovery period.
Thank you so much for reading, sharing, and supporting Joe during this incredibly challenging time. Our family appreciates it more than words can say.
With love and deep gratitude,
Amanda
