Hi, I'm Andi and I'm trying to raise funds to help my best friend Darren whose house was catastrophically destroyed on, 1st April 2025 when a car collided with a tractor which then swerved into his flat.

The driver of the car has since been convicted for dangerous driving and driving under the influence of drugs.

Sadly, this means the building is not safe and it is not secure and as it happened at 6.30am he was not able to leave the property with any belongings. Just his pyjamas.

It is currently not known how long it will take to make the building safe or if it will be safe ever again and no one can enter them building to get any belongings. All the furniture. Life time memories, books, TVs, playstation, appliances, wallet and ID and his car keys.

He was able to take his cat and is currently safe in a budget hotel. This is a major life change and Darren has nothing right now so anything anyone can kindly donate will go to making sure the days and weeks ahead are manageable to keep going, get clothes and essential items and ultimately new furniture and rebuild his life

UPDATE: Darren has a home now but still needs to replace lost possessions. Any further assistance would be so appreciated. He still suffers from severe trauma as a result. Often shaking, jumping at loud bangs and feels unable to settle most days. He is undertaking counselling. The lenient sentence of the driver (unpaid work) has not helped matters.
