Do you know someone who has worked a manual labor job 365 days a year for the past 32 years? I sure do! My half-sister, Jane, runs a horse boarding business and is the hardest working person I know. Boarding horses is no easy task. Not only does she manage the business, but she is the only employee! Over the past years, she has cared for many horses, rain or shine, ensuring that the horses she boards are happy and healthy, fed, groomed and exercised with clean stalls, 365 days of the year-talk about hard work!
This past November, Jane’s ankle gave out after working 17 hour days for the past 32 years. Since her injury, the only help she has had with her business is from her husband and daughter who both work full-time jobs and spend their evenings and weekends supporting her. With her second surgery scheduled for February, she needs support in paying her rapidly accumulating medical bills.
I know that money is tight for everyone, especially over the holiday. We are praying for a Christmas miracle to help Jane and her family this holiday season.
