Emergency Spine Surgery for Sophie

Hi, my name is Rachelina and I am starting this campaign for my little girl, Sophie Grace, who is in need of emergency spine surgery.

She is 6.5 years old and has been diagnosed with IVDD. She is my world and was a very active, loving, and playful dog until a couple of days ago. After sleeping the other night, she woke up in extreme pain and her entire body was shaking. She was not able to sit all the way up or lay completely down. She was also panting excessively, which is a sign of pain. I rushed her to a neurologist and was advised that she has herniated discs that are causing compression on her spinal cord and that she needs immediate surgery on her spine, which is estimated at ~$8,500. That does not include the post-operation/rehabilitation costs so I am trying to raise $10,000 but if I could at least get help for the procedure itself, it would mean the world to Sophie and me.

All the money that is raised for Sophie will go towards the MRI, surgery, and medical expenses that come with this procedure which would change Sophie's life and return her to being herself and to live a healthy happy life.

Time is of the essence because the longer I wait to get her the procedure, the risk of her becoming paralyzed increases exponentially. Right now, she is in a significant amount of pain, panting, shaking (muscle fasciculations), and is not able to hold her head up. She is extremely limited and is not allowed to walk, play, etc. She is supposed to be kept in a confined space at all times for now, which is heartbreaking. It's hard for me and for her. The pain medications she was given the other day seem to have little effect on her.

I am doing everything in my power for Sophie. She deserves the best life and the only thing standing in the way is the cost of the procedure. Any little bit will help and we would be eternally grateful for any kind of donation. Please help my baby. Thank you so much.
