Small Business Global Fund

Donation protected

I woke up this morning and realized that Government funding will not come fast enough to save the backbone of society, the small business owner.

Take a moment and just think about what the global situation with Coronavirus is doing to favorite coffee shop, hobby shop, boutique, restaurant, and more.

If we don't act now, they won't be around.

I say this with conviction because I was appointed to the U.S. Small Business Administration for one year as a veteran representative. I know from first hand experience that the SBA does many good things but lending quickly is not one of them. We saw that with Hurricane Katrina. The loans just won't come fast enough.

So many are already mobilized around solving the medical issues of COVID-19  but what comes after? How will this affect our favorite coffee shop around the block, hobby shop, or restaurant? I'm friends with many incredible people in the food and beverage industry and they've been hit hard.

Leading from the front, and leading by example is what I learned in the Military as a Navy SEAL Chief. Laster, as an entrepreneur, and participant in Harvard Business School's OPM program, I started to see the world differently. I realized that Government isn't around to solve all our problems, some problems need to be solved outside of government. In fact the biggest problem solvers on the planet are in the business community! It's up to ALL OF US to pitch in and make a difference.

With your help, I'm raising this money as a rapid relief program for small businesses owners globally.

This is not a hand out, it's a hand up for small businesses.

Example: A thriving restaurant in New York is hit suddenly by mandatory isolation. No customers, no cash flow. They could pivot to home delivery but their working capital has been wiped out and Uber eats requires set up time. If they had $50k in funding to pivot to home delivery they can survive and thrive again when this is all over.

Funds will be disbursed  within 48hours of a qualifying business with a minimum of $50,000 raised.

Who is this for?

Existing small business owners who have been open 2 years or more and demonstrated profitability.

If you value your favorite local small business, and want to see that "OPEN" sign up when this is all over, donate what you can, spread the word, and let's do this.
