Help Us Save Our Reptiles — Emergency Rescue and Ongoing Support Needed
Our reptile rescue, Jungle Things Oregon, relies on public donations to survive. We care for injured, abandoned, and surrendered reptiles — many who arrive with serious medical needs. Your support helps cover vet bills, medical supplies, food, enclosures, transportation, and everything these animals need to recover and live safely.
But right now, we are facing a heartbreaking emergency.
A trusted volunteer recently betrayed our rescue by stealing 11 of our exotic reptiles — including one that is an endangered species — and abandoning them outdoors. These animals were left to fend for themselves in conditions they will not survive. So far, we have found only six. One is dying. Five are still missing.
The owner, Anna, has had to close the rescue temporarily to dedicate all of her time and energy to finding these lost animals. This has not only paused our regular rescue work but is causing a devastating loss of income — all while emergency vet bills and search-related costs are piling up.
We urgently need your help.
Your donation today will go directly to:
* Emergency medical treatment for the reptiles we’ve recovered
* Fuel and supplies for ongoing search efforts
* Critical care for any additional reptiles we find
* Day-to-day costs to keep our rescue running during and after this crisis
We work every day to give these animals a second chance at life. Please consider donating — every dollar helps. If you can’t give, it would be greatly appreciated if you could share. Our goal is to help them and continue rescue work every single day.
Thank you all for your support. We are eternally grateful.
