On Sunday afternoon, April 16th, while trail riding at Hollenbeck Canyon, Dobby, an 8 year old thoroughbred, slipped on a rock and went off a steep hillside and fell into a narrow ravine four miles from a road. He is injured and stuck in a remote area and emergency rescue services had to be called in. Helicopter, CalFire, Sheriff, Search & Rescue, Border Control, Animal Control and the Humane Society all worked tirelessly until almost midnight to stabilize him. He will be air lifted out at 10 am Monday morning...or as his owner Giovanna says.... become a Pegasus....

Latest update... they won't helicopter him out... going to assess and may drag him....

Final Rescue: calfire cut a trail and he had to walk out severely injured several miles with the help of the vet. He was transported for emergency care.
