Hi - We're Ruslan and Sara, and we work together at a hotel in the Twin Cities.

This fundraiser is for members of our own housekeeping team and their families, who are facing serious and sudden hardship due to the ongoing immigration enforcement activities. Three families need short-term support right now including legal expenses to reunite detained family members and basic costs like rent and utilities for households that are currently unable to leave home safely.

Our goal is simple: Cover essential bills for at least one month, two if we can, for two families; and cover the legal costs to assist in securing the release of two family members from a detention center in El Paso and assist with travel funds. Please help us show up for the people whose work supports all of us, in a moment when stability has been pulled out from under them.

We know there are many needs in the world right now. This is one place where we can make a direct, meaningful difference.
