Emergency Rent & Expenses Because I Lost My Job
Donation protected
Hi! On May 16, 2022, I was wrongfully terminated from my full-time salaried job because I had been out sick for an entire week. I had a high fever due to a nasty virus (not COVID) and even was in the hospital. My employer only cared about the inconvenience that I allegedly caused by not being able to come to work because I was literally bed-ridden. This has put me in an extremely unfortunate position. I have applied for unemployment, but that process has been delayed by three months because of how overwhelmed by applications the state of PA is. I have also applied for food stamps and will be seeking part-time work while I look for the next step in my career. My access to gaining a new full-time role can only be guaranteed with enough financial stability to avoid further crises.
I understand that the world is on fire right now, and most of us are going through challenging situations to some degree. I am not used to making these requests online, so this is a vulnerable position for me. All I ask is for your empathy and compassion in this situation. Any small donation will really help and will be greatly appreciated. If you cannot give money, even sharing the link on your socials would be an act of kindness.
I am asking for $5000 to cover three months of rent plus other expenses. The extra $100 is meant to cover the donation fees from this site (I know...eye roll).
Once again, I thank everyone for their kindness and compassion in this time. Every little bit means a lot to me. Truly.
