My name is Brent A. Vieira from Canada, and I am asking for your support with sincerity and urgency. I am raising funds for my close friend Nicolas “Nicky Silk” Beckford, a Jamaican recording artist who was born and raised in Charlestown, Jamaica, a community known for its musical roots, spirituality, cultural richness, and family centered values.

Nicolas comes from a musically gifted family, and his passion for music has always been guided by purpose, humility, and service. He creates music to heal, uplift, educate, inspire and strengthen others. Anyone who knows him can confirm his character. He is kind, honest, respectful, compassionate, patient, humble, soft spoken, spiritual and deeply committed to making a positive impact through his craft.

Recently, Storm Melissa caused severe destruction across parts of Jamaica, and many families in Charlestown experienced major damage to their homes and living conditions. Roofs were blown off, water entered homes, belongings were destroyed, and basic necessities were lost. Unfortunately, Nicolas was among those directly affected, and his home suffered significant damage when his roof was torn away, leaving the inside exposed to rain and unsafe sleeping conditions.

Nicolas also suffers from asthma, and this situation has placed him at heightened risk due to exposure to damp conditions, cold air, dust, and mold. His home must be repaired so he can protect both his health and his future.

In addition, he is a father to a young child who depends on him and needs him present. No child should ever have to question a parent’s ability to remain strong and reliable, especially during difficult times.

This experience has affected his health, his living stability, his financial security, his emotional well being and his future in music. Nicolas has always been the one who comforts others, encourages others, motivates others, and gives even when he has very little for himself. At this time, it is he who needs the help of caring hearts.

We are seeking to raise $10,000 Canadian dollars. The funds will be used for;

✔ Full replacement of zinc roofing

✔ Repair of internal structural damage

✔ Restoration and replacement of damaged living necessities

✔ A safe and dry sleeping environment

✔ Ventilation protection for asthma

✔ Stability so he can continue supporting his child and pursuing his music career
