Friends & Family,
If we all lived close to Ben and Brittani we could hold a fundraiser, but for those of us who want to show them that we care for them, a Go Fund Me account seemed the most efficient way to get this done. We want them to know that we are praying for a rapid healing and peace of mind knowing that God “has got their backs” through touching the hearts of others to donate from their personal blessings.
Ben was enjoying the birth of his new daughter, Bradie Rose born on March 9th, when he began feeling ill. After several visits to health care providers and emergency departments over the next few weeks, he was hospitalized. It was finally discovered that he had an unusual lung infection that can take weeks to several months to clear. After two to three weeks in the hospital he will be discharged with an IV in place so he can continue to receive antibiotics at home until the infection is gone. All of the medical care he has and will receive is very costly, not to mention the lost revenue due to not being able to work in his insurance business.
As we all know, stress can slow the healing process and we want to allow Ben to focus on healing and enjoying his beautiful family as opposed to worrying about finances. His insurance is a form of cost sharing where he pays the bills up front and then submits for reimbursement, which can take months. The plan also does not reimburse for outpatient prescriptions and office visits, health care costs are a concern.
