We are the workers of the Secret Garden Café in Denver. Overnight, our restaurant was closed—weeks earlier than announced—after we began organizing for fair pay, transparency, and a voice in decisions that affect our livelihoods.
This closure has left all of us suddenly without income, with bills due and no clear path forward. Many of us have served this business since opening, helping make the café a place people loved to gather. Now we are asking for help to get through the immediate crisis while we continue to seek accountability through legal and labor channels.
All donations will go directly to support displaced workers for rent, groceries, and basic living costs. Distribution will be transparent and handled collectively by employees.
We believe every worker deserves fair treatment, a living wage, and the ability to live in the community they serve. Denver should remain a neighborhood—not a theme park where workers can’t afford to stay.
Your support helps us stay on our feet and continue standing up for fairness, dignity, and community in Denver.
