Dear friends, supporters and well-wishers,
As a sports team, our core purpose extends far beyond the field. We strive to be a beacon of hope and a voice for the suffering and plight of our community. Right now, our beloved community is facing an unimaginable crisis, and is on the brink of extinction in our own homeland - Arakan, Myanmar. Our people are enduring horrific violence from both the Burmese military and the Arakan Army.
In this heart-wrenching chapter of our history, we are witnessing unspeakable atrocities: villages are reduced to ashes, innocent lives are torn apart by kidnappings and rape, and families are left in despair. Rohingya children and women are fleeing for their lives, only to face brutal drone attacks and relentless bombings. The current violence is equally, if not more devastating than the atrocities of 2017.
The images are unbearable: Rohingya children and women lying dead in the mud of the Naf River. The injured survivors have had their dreams and futures shattered. There are grieving parents who have lost their children, men mourning their lost wives, and women and children who are left alone, with no family to turn to. The depth of their pain is beyond comprehension, and we feel a profound sense of helplessness and heartbreak.
Raising some funds to provide temporary emergency relief is the least we can do. With the funds raised, we will help as many as we can and provide crucial emergency relief to those who need it most. Your support will help deliver essential supplies and offer a glimmer of hope in their darkest hour.
We request your generosity and compassion to support the Rohingya families who are escaping this horrific genocide and are now trying to seek shelter and refuge in Bangladesh.
Please donate whatever you can and share this campaign with your family and friends. 1 Australian Dollar equals to 78 Bangladeshi taka – so literally every dollar can make a difference.
Warm regards,
Rohingya United Management
