Hi, my name is Josie, and I’m reaching out because my family is going through an unexpected and overwhelming crisis. My partner, Brandon, recently lost his job after his company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and we were just informed that he will not be receiving the paycheck we were depending on to cover our basic bills. This has put us in a very difficult position financially. At the same time, our basement has flooded with over a foot of water, destroying essential items including our washer, dryer, and deep freezer. All of our stored clothes were in the basement and are now soaked and unusable. We don’t even have the funds right now to take clothes to a laundromat.

We are a family of six with four young children, and right now we are facing multiple urgent needs: our electric is at risk of being shut off, our phones are about to be disconnected, rent is due in two weeks, our car payment is coming up, and we’ve lost appliances and clothing due to flooding.

We are doing everything we can to stay afloat, but this situation has become more than we can handle on our own. Any donation no matter how small would go directly toward keeping our utilities on, maintaining housing, replacing essential items, and helping us get through this emergency period.
