My name is Nicole Gentles, and I currently live in the United States. I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Jamaica. We’re known for our kindness, patience, and willingness to give the shirt off our backs for a neighbor. Today, I’m asking for help for my community in Logwood Hanover , devastated by Hurricane Melissa.

Hurricane Melissa tore through our area, leaving families with roofs ripped off, homes destroyed, and some now homeless. Our community has no water, power, or internet service. People are already asking for food, and it will get worse: St. Elizabeth, Jamaica’s breadbasket and the hardest-hit parish, supplies much of our fruits and vegetables. With farms and supply lines damaged, a major food shortage is expected. All your contributions will go towards food and supplies for the community.
