Hi, my name is Haley.

I'm a proud Hazara woman from Afghanistan who has spent close to a decade living in Australia.

In 2021, the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan.

Two of my sisters, with their husbands and children, fled the country to the neighboring nation of Pakistan. I have applied for humanitarian visas for them to come to Australia, but we have not yet heard back about the outcome of these applications.

The Pakistani government has said that they will deport all Afghans back to Afghanistan. My family face extreme danger if this happens. They remain in hiding, unable to work and waiting for the outcome of their Australian humanitarian visa applications.

My extended family have been supporting my two sisters and their families, but this is putting considerable strain on us.

I am seeking to raise $10,000 to contribute towards their living expenses such as rent, gas and bills.

If they are granted asylum in Australia, this money will go towards relocation costs instead.
