Homes have been swept away, entire villages, roads and bridges destroyed, missing civilians, families displaced and no electricity due to destroyed power lines/transformers.
Local authorities have declared a state of emergency and rescue teams, including helicopters, are battling adverse weather to reach stranded and injured residents.
