In the wake of a devastating fire that engulfed a Burnaby apartment building this past Saturday, A Hall Constructors team member’s family finds themselves in urgent need of support. While the local news has covered the broad details of the fire, affecting numerous residents, this particular family's plight stands out due to the harrowing escape they endured and their immediate and total loss.

The Incident

Late in the evening, an intense fire spread quickly through their Burnaby building, making escape routes impassable. In a desperate bid for safety, the father had to lower his daughters from the balcony, a heart-stopping 2 stories down, before jumping himself. Now, with their home declared a total loss due to asbestos contamination and structural damage, they are left with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

Immediate Needs

Currently residing in temporary accommodations, the family urgently requires basic necessities such as clothing, school supplies for the teenagers and other daily essentials. They are facing the daunting task of starting over, with limited resources and ongoing uncertainty about their future housing.
