Emergency Relief for a Family of Five After Devastating Fire

Today, my brother, his wife, and their three boys lost their home in a house fire.

Thankfully, everyone made it out safely, but they lost almost everything they own. Right now, they’re trying to figure out where they’re going to stay and what comes next after such a devastating loss.

My brother and sister-in-law are both teachers who spend their days helping kids. My brother also coaches football and basketball and has dedicated so much of his time to mentoring young people. Both he and his wife have given so much to the community. They are the kind of people who are always willing to help others, and now they find themselves needing help.

Their boys are 9, 4, and 1 years old. In a matter of minutes, they lost their home, their clothes, toys, furniture, and so many personal items and memories that can never be replaced. The family estimates they lost about 85% of their belongings in the fire.

As they begin the difficult process of starting over, they need help with temporary housing, clothing, food, basic necessities, and replacing essential items for their children.
