Emergency Relief After Devastating House Fire

I'm reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my cousin Kelly DeVoe, who just lost everything in a tragic house fire. In a matter of minutes, her entire world was turned upside down — her home, her belongings, and the memories she built over the years — gone.

If you know my cousin, you know she’s the kind of person who would give the shirt off her back to help someone else — and she has, countless times. She’s selfless and always the first to show up when someone is in need. I can also always count on her to make me laugh until my stomach hurts. Now, she’s the one who needs us.

She’s not only dealing with the devastating loss of her home, but also facing some incredibly tough personal family struggles at the same time. It’s more than anyone should have to carry, but she’s doing it with strength and grace.

When I was in the hospital back in December, even though she lived out of state and couldn’t be there in person, she checked on me all day, every day — made sure I was OK, kept in constant contact with our family, and made sure everyone was updated and reassured. She did all of that while juggling her own life, because that’s just who she is: a caregiver, even from miles away.
