I am writing this on behalf of my dear friends and neighbors, the Kimsey family. I have been close to Sadie and Preston for over 20 years and I have loved and cared for their daughter since she came into the world.

A few short weeks ago, Sadie came down with a variety of disturbing symptoms and was given the devastating diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. If this wasn't stressful enough, around the same time, their plumbing failed. They have had friends and professionals out to work on it and at this time it is still not fixed. For weeks now, they have not been able to use their drains or toilets. They need a temporary portapotty to use as soon as possible while the plumbing is being worked on. The plumbers gave them a quote of $8,000 plus to get it fixed. This is not counting how much they have already paid toward trying to fix the problem. Sadie has not been able to work since her diagnosis and will not be able to return to work in the foreseeable future so they are dealing with all of these problems and trying to get by on a limited income.

Sadie has been to a whirlwind of doctor's appointments since her diagnosis as pancreatic cancer is extremely fast spreading and requires immediate intervention. She has already gone through several procedures and surgeries, had a tooth pulled, had a stint placed, and had a chemotherapy port installed on her body. She is exhausted and in pain while facing months of chemotherapy and surgery to remove her tumor. She needs to be able to focus on fighting her cancer, resting, and healing right now and this plumbing issue is a huge barrier to the well-being of the entire family.
