My name is Madeleine Ahmed, I live in America.
Due to the location and limitations of GoFundMe, I want to help get this campaign going. All donations will go directly to the Hassouna family.

We are the family of the martyr journalist Hassouna Salim. P@lestini@ns from the G@za Strip; Like any family living in G@za, we had a dream that was destroyed by this devastating war. We have come to you with an urgent appeal and we are sure that you will not disappoint us. We need your support before it's too late.

Our son, journalist Hassouna Salim, was a young man who lived in P@lestine - the G@za Strip. He was 28 years old. He had dreams and ambitions, and his wedding was scheduled for the end of 2023 to the girl he loved. He finished building his new house a few days before the war, hoping that he and his future wife would live in it, but the war changed everything all of a sudden! Hassouna left his family, his fiancée, and his friends and went to his journalistic work to document the crimes and genocides committed against his people and share them on all social media sites.

Throughout the war, the journalist Hassouna was unable to see his family or his fiancée. He was eager see the end of this war, to meet his family, and to marry the girl he loved, as he was outstanding in reporting events and covering crimes and genocides despite the threats to which he was exposed from the occupation and assassination attempts as well.

After 43 days of war; Dreams and hopes were over as the occupation murdered journalist Hassouna in cold blood, along with his fellow journalist Sari Mansour, while they were working in the press, intentionally and directly, in an attempt to silence their voices and to prevent the images and scenes documenting their actions against this occupation from reaching the world.

We did not know that we would face this loss and oppression, as the occupation destroyed the house of the martyr Hassouna, his family’s house, and his brothers’ house as well, leaving nothing left for his family to shelter them after the end of this devastating war.

There is always hope no matter what happens; We, as a family, are able to move from darkness into light through your support and generous donations to us. Where we can rebuild our lives and our home again; Every donation, no matter how small, will make a great difference.

“Man lives by man,” please; We ask you to stand by this urgent appeal; Your support can contribute to saving an entire family from displacement and horrible conditions; Let us unite and show human compassion and solidarity; Together we can rebuild a new future and a new life

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support in responding to the urgent appeal.
