Hi! This fundraiser is for Margo Winters, one of my best friends and my roommate.

Just a couple days ago, her car was T-boned in a car accident which left her stuck in her car suspended upside down. Luckily and against all odds though, she wasn't seriously injured and walked away unscratched. Her car is completely totaled, but we're just grateful she's okay.

The insurance company has informed Margo that her coverage plan will likely not be enough to cover the property damage, making her liable for potentially tens of thousands of dollars, plus legal fees.

Even before she can make up for her loss, this is going to be an expensive conflict to resolve, and is a huge setback for Margo at an already difficult time.

Margo grew up as a foster child and doesn't have any family that could help her right now. Her auto-insurance plan also does not cover her car or medical expenses. At a time when she was already struggling with rent, bills, debt, and now additional legal fees and expenses, a rough situation has become ever more difficult. It's especially going to be more difficult to navigate through all this without a car. Her car was her only asset, and losing it is like losing everything she had.

This really is an extremely rough time for her, and we would really really appreciate any way you can help her get through this :)

Ideally we would love to be able to raise enough to also replace her car, but our first priority is addressing the sudden new expenses resulting from the accident.
