Our household includes an autistic transgender teenager, an agoraphobic young adult, my disabled wife, and myself—I'm a disabled autistic Army Veteran currently enrolled in university, with my employment on hold due to the government shutdown. The loss of power has made our living situation unsafe and unsustainable, especially given the unique needs of everyone in our family.
