Emergency Money Needed To Survive

Hi folks, my name is Shoshana Kessock, and I'm reaching out because I am in serious need of help.

The last six months have seen a series of catastrophic events in my life. From serious health issues leading to multiple hospital stays (and hospital bills!) to my father's sudden death, losing our apartment forcing us to move back to New York, and continued medical issues eating savings, I have been struggling to keep ahead of the basic bills to survive since last year. I have been unemployed since Covid had my previous job lay off over 200 people in one day and due to the current economy I've been unable to find new employment. Between that and continued medical bills stripping my savings, I've reached the point where not only do I not have any savings to draw on or income to rely on, I now do not have enough to pay basic bills this month.

I've managed to cover two bills myself but the major ones (mortgage, car insurance, phone, maintenance, internet, medications, gas, tolls, food, cat supplies) have not been paid. And though I'm searching out social services to assist me going forward, I need help now to keep from spiraling into a financial hole or being unable to get basic things to survive. So, I'm reaching out to you.

I realize it's a hard time for everyone and so many are struggling, and so I thank you for reading this and offering your support. Every little bit can help me get to the financial goal that will keep us safe for one more month while we try to find employment and/or assistance.
