Emergency Medical Support for Kunal Bhan’s Father – Halifax,

My name is Kunal Bhan, a Kashmiri Pandit living in Halifax, Canada. I’m reaching out with a plea from the depths of my heart.

Two years ago, I lost my mother in India. Since then, I’ve been caring for my elderly father , Shri Rattan Lal Bhan, who is now 72 and battling several age-related health issues, including diabetes. With no one left to look after him in India, I brought him here on a visitor visa last year.

On July 7th, tragedy struck. My father had a severe slip and fall and was left unable to walk. His blood sugar levels spiked dangerously and bladder issues worsened. This morning, I found him unresponsive and rushed him to Halifax Infirmary Hospital.

Doctors have now confirmed he suffered a major brain stroke. He is in critical condition and may be placed on a ventilator depending on the neurologist's evaluation.

The devastating part—his Indian travel insurance is not valid in Canada, and he does not have Canadian health insurance. I am already stretched thin emotionally and financially, and the mounting hospital bills and critical care costs are beyond what I can bear alone.

This is a humble appeal for help. Your support, no matter the amount, will help keep my father alive and support his treatment until he can safely return to India.
